Let's get creative!
Step 1: Gather some flower petals
Carefully pluck some petals from flowers in your garden. Choose flowers with lovely scents, like roses, lavender, or jasmine. (You can also ask a grown-up to help you find some petals)
Step 2: Crush the petals
Take the petals and gently crush them between your fingers. This will release their beautiful fragrance and help create the perfume
Step 3: Mix the petals
Find a small container, like a clean jar or a bowl. Put the crushed petals inside and mix them together. You can use a spoon or your fingers to gently stir them
Step 4: Add water
Slowly pour a little bit of water into the container with the crushed petals. Be careful not to add too much water – just enough to make a liquid. Mix the water and petals together
Step 5: Let it sit
Cover the container and let the mixture sit for some time. This will allow the water to absorb the scent of the petals and create your homemade perfume
Step 6: Strain the liquid
After some time, you can strain the liquid to separate the petals from the perfume. You can use a clean piece of cloth or a fine strainer to do this. Squeeze out the liquid and collect it in another clean container
Step 7: Enjoy your petal perfume
Your perfume is ready! Now you can carefully dab a little bit of your perfume on your wrists or behind your ears to enjoy the lovely fragrance
Remember, when making perfumes or handling flowers, it's important to ask a grown-up for help and to be gentle and respectful to the plants we use
