How to create a herb planter

YOU WILL NEED

  • A medium to large pot. Make sure to choose one that complements your interior or exterior decor  

  • Your favourite herbs, like basil, rosemary, or thyme  

KNOW BEFORE YOU GROW:

In our herb planter, we’ve used rosemary, sage and thyme, but you can also use basil, oregano, chives, mint, or parsley as these are some of the easiest herbs to grow. Just make sure you’re choosing herbs with flavours and scents you enjoy

HOW TO CREATE A HERB PLANTER: STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE 

  1.  
  2. Select your pot – we’ve opted for a sage green colour to complement our herbs  
  3. Fill your pot with multi-purpose compost  
  4. Using your trowel, plant your larger herbs at the back of your pot for height. We’ve planted rosemary in the centre, and sage and thyme on either side  
  5. Then add smaller selections of thyme at the front to give your pot a more vibrant burst of green  
  6. Fill any gaps with compost and water well 
  7.
