Make your own twig tree decorations
Often it’s the simple things we find in nature that become the most beautiful! With this craft activity you’ll learn step-by-step how to transform twigs from your garden into twinkling tree decorations just in time for Christmas
To get started you'll need:
- Twigs and sticks foraged from the garden, snapped or cut to equal lengths
- Gold craft paint
- Coloured yarn – red or green
- Strong craft glue
- Gold stars
Let’s get making!
Step 1:
Paint your twigs with gold paint and let them dry
Step 2:
Glue them together into triangle shapes with one stick at the bottom which will be the tree trunk – leave to dry
Step 3:
Once the glue has dried, take a length of yarn and bind them together like in the picture. Tie a knot once you’re finished
Step 4:
Use more glue to add gold stars to your creation – now your mini Christmas trees are finished!
Step 5:
Tie a loop of yarn from the top of your tree so it’s ready to hang from the Christmas tree
