For this activity, you’ll need:
- Small cookie cutters (whatever you have in your house will work)
- Kebab sticks
- Bread
- Cheese
- Lettuce
- Pepper
- Cherry tomatoes
- Lunch meat – ham, chicken or a veggie alternative
Step 1: Prepare your ingredients
- First, you’ll need to choose what to have on your stacker. You can use any ingredients you have at home
- Wash any veggies and toast your bread
- Once your toast is ready, you can use cookie cutters to create fun shapes. You can also do this with cheese
- If using peppers or tomatoes, get an adult to help you cut these into chunks. Cut slices of your lunch meat and roll them so that they’re easier to thread
Step 2: Threading your stacker
- Start with your shaped pieces of toast and pierce them through your kebab stick
- You can then start adding your other ingredients in any order you’d like
Step 3: Storage
- Keep your stackers in a reusable container in the fridge before you leave for your picnic. If you have a cooler bag, that’s even better. That way they are as fresh as possible when you’re ready to start munching!
